On 24th July, 2009, Nicola and I got married, roughly two years after first meeting. We knew it was the right thing to do when she accepted my proposal on the bridge in St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin, Ireland, a year before.

Location

The stunning location of our wedding ceremony and reception was at Bosworth Hall Hotel in the village of Market Bosworth, Leicestershire.
The hotel is an old family mansion set in 11 acres of well kept gardens and grounds, including some beautiful plants and water features and is now run by Britannia Hotels. Bosworth Hall has many facilities including bar, restaurants, internet access and gymnasium with spa and pool. Daytime Ceremony

The ceremony began at 12:00 pm (that’s noon to you and me) on Friday, 24 July 2009 in Crompton’s room at Bosworth Hall. The wedding ceremony took approximately 20 minutes and was followed by drinks and the official photos. Next we enjoyed the wedding breakfast meal in the Bosworth Lounge.
Guests then had some free time to explore hotel’s grounds and facilities or simply prop up the bar!

Evening Reception

The wedding reception commenced at approximately 7:00 pm on Friday, 24 July 2009 in the spacious marquee situated in the grounds of Bosworth Hall Hotel. The marquee had its own bar serving drinks, an extensive buffet and a disco.
Our guests had use of the marquee for the entire evening and could also enjoy the rest of the hotel or pop outside for a bit of fresh air!

The Honeymoon

Shortly after the wedding, Nicola and I departed on our honeymoon to Jersey. We travelled to Poole then caught a fast Condor ferry to St Helier where we stayed, in a stunning hotel, the Hotel Revere. After seeing the sights, eating well and taking it easy, we flew back to Birmingham with Flybe.
